2026 GENERAL PRIMARY UMOVA-FWAB Notice
ANNOUNCEMENT:
The 2026 General Primary will be held on May 19, 2026. Polls will be open from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Important Dates:
- February 17th - First Day to circulate and file nomination petitions
- March 10th - Last day to circulate and file nomination petitions
- March 17th - Last day to file objections to nomination petitions
- March 18th - Lot Draw for ballot position 10:00 a.m. in room 114A of the County Courthouse
- March 25th - Last Day for candidates to withdraw
- April 6th - First Day of Poll Worker Training
- April 13th - First Day of Logic and Accuracy Testing of Voting Machines
- April 17th - First Day of Early/On Demand Mail Ballot voting - Tentative
- May 4th - Last Day to register to vote
- May 12th - Last Day to apply for a mail ballot or vote early
- May 19 - 2026 General Primary Election
A listing of voters who have requested a mail ballot for the upcoming May 19, 2026 Primary Election is available below.
The report will be updated every Friday by 12:00 p.m. (noon) through May 15, 2026.

Getting Registered
There are three ways to get registered to vote in Erie County, Pennsylvania:
- Filling out an online form on the official Commonwealth of Pennsylvania website
- Downloading, printing, and mailing a paper application to us at the address below:

Erie, PA 16501 - In-person at the address above, or at a PennDOT photo and driver's license center location near you.
To vote in Pennsylvania, you must meet the below requirements:
- Register at least 15 days before the next election.
- Be a citizen of the United States for at least one month before the election.
- Be a resident of Pennsylvania and the election district in which you want to register and vote for at least 30 days before the next election.
- Be at least 18 years of age on or before the day of the next election.
